John A Alvarez and Sons sells both Modular and Manufactured homes. Modular homes are built in sections at a manufacturing facility. They are built to conform to all state, local or regional building codes at their destinations. Sections are transported to the building site on steel carriers, erected to the foundation and joined together by a qualified set crew and completed by John A. Alvarez and Sons. Manufactured homes are built in a climate controlled environment in sections and have to conform to a Federal Code called a HUD Code, rather than to building codes of their destinations. Manufactured homes are built on a non-removable steel chassis. The home is transported in sections to the building site where they are set on a slab and joined together by a New York State Certified Installers.
